Shopping for a new home is probably one of the most exciting and most stressful times in your life. Deciding on one story versus two, new versus pre-owned, location, schools…so many decisions. Before you spend hours on the web searches and open houses, it is important to get pre-qualified for a loan. There are 8 essential documents that you will need to pre-qualify:

  1. Previous 2 years W-2s

  2. Previous 2 years tax returns

  3. Previous 2 months paystubs

  4. Evidence of other income (Child support, etc)

  5. 2-3 months of bank statements

  6. Home addresses for the last 2 years

  7. List of consumer debts

  8. Social Security card of each purchaser
